“Learning is experience. Everything else is just information”
Students of Akal Academy Manoli Surat donned their ‘Chef Caps’ to exhibit their culinary skills in ‘Cooking Without Fire’ Inter House competition held on 9th April,2022.
Children participated with full zeal and enthusiasm .Art effects and food items displayed were a visual treat and were presented in an artistic and aesthetic style. Dishes were judged on nutrition and taste by esteemed judges Ms.Rajani Thakur(Pricipal), Mr.Puran Singh(music teacher)and Ms.Charanjeet Kaur. They interacted with the budding chefs to find out the ingredients of the recipes, nutritional value and the historical significance of the dishes prepared by them. Judges were overawed by the efforts of the participants and results were announced amidst tough competition. First position was secured by Abhai House, closely followed by Ajai House, which bagged the second position. The third position was shared by Amul house. The event not only provided a platform for the students to foster their creativity and decision making skills, but also helped them explore their hidden talents and discover new areas of interest.
