Plantation Drive Activity

A significant plantation drive took place at Akal Academy Dhanal Kalan, graced by the presence of several esteemed individuals. Dr. G.P. Singh, Prof. S.N. Sharma, Dr. Paramjit Kaur (Retired Principal of Govt Arts and Sports College, Jalandhar), Mr. Damatia (Retired Deputy Director of the Horticulture Department, Punjab), Dr. Chawla and Mr. Rajesh Dutta, all contributed to the event by planting trees on the school grounds. Their participation underscored the importance of environmental conservation and set a commendable example for the students and the community.

During the event, students began with Akal Ustat through a Shabad ‘ਪਾਤੀ ਤੋਰੈ ਮਾਲਿਨੀ ਪਾਤੀ ਪਾਤੀ ਜੀਉ’ setting a serene and respectful tone. A student delivered an insightful speech on the importance of plantation drives, while a young child of Grade 5 shared heartfelt feelings about deforestation, urging everyone to plant more trees.

Our worthy Principal madam warmly welcomed the distinguished guests and presented them with vases as tokens of appreciation. Additionally, the guests gifted the school with a beautiful piece of poetry related to trees and plantation, further enriching the event with their thoughtful gesture.

As the event drew to a close, the weather turned cool, with clouds rolling in and a refreshing breeze beginning to blow, adding a perfect natural touch to the Plantation drive.
