Akal Academy Mander Dona Hosts Engaging ‘Know Your Country’ Quiz Competition
On 6 August, 2024 Akal Academy Mander Dona organized a captivating quiz competition, “Know Your Country,” aimed at fostering knowledge and appreciation among students about India’s rich heritage. The event, held among four school houses – Abhai, Ajay, Amul, and Atul – witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Grade 1-5.
The competition, expertly organized by Baljeet Singh, Activity Incharge, featured engaging rounds that tested students’ knowledge of famous Indian personalities, history, geography, and current events. Like “Identify the Person” round, where students were shown photos of renowned Indian figures and asked to identify them.
The quiz was conducted by a team of experienced educators, comprising Mr. Baljeet Singh, Mr. Rohit Chandel, and Ms. Seema Popli, while Ms. Preeti Arora served as the judge. The event drew a large audience of students from Grade 1-5, who cheered on their peers with excitement.
Principal Ms. Manjit Kaur Mahal congratulated the participants and winners, emphasizing the importance of gaining knowledge about India’s proud history and culture. She motivated the students to continue exploring and learning about their nation’s heritage.
The “Know Your Country” quiz competition was a resounding success, achieving its objective of imparting valuable information and inspiring young minds to develop a deeper understanding of India’s rich legacy.
