THE DASTAAR
AWARENESS EVENT
Akal Academy Ratolan
organized a special
awareness program to
educate students about
the significance of the
Dastaar (Turban) in Sikh
culture. The event was
designed to instill
respect for this timeless
tradition, which
represents not just
religious identity but
also values like honor,
courage, and
spirituality. As part of
the program, a live
demonstration was held
to teach students how
the Dastaar is properly
tied, highlighting the
care and respect
associated with this
practice. Both Sikh and
non-Sikh students
participated, fostering a
deeper understanding
and appreciation of this
cultural tradition among
all.
