Grandparents Day Celebration

A Salute to our Roots’
Grandparents are the family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the
greatest storytellers, and the keepers of tradition. Grandparents are the family’s
strongest foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family
close to heart.
To honour them, AKAL ACADEMY BHARYAL LAHRI celebrated Grandparents Day on
Saturday, 21st September 2024.Programme began with the Shabad. The Principal of
the academy addressed the gathering of Parents , Parents of Alumni and reiterated
the role of Grandparents in all our lives, as Grandparents are “ A little bit of parents, a
little bit of teacher and a little bit of friend”.
The little tots of Pre Kg and Junior KG came up with scintillating performances as they
danced to the melodious tunes of songs based on the themes of love & respect to
Grand parents. The performances by students left the spectators spellbound and
thoroughly mesmerized. Some children showed drama on respect of grandparents. All
alumni and their parents shared their views about the school. They refreshed some
old memories with parents sitting in hall.
Everyone present appreciated and also few grandparents shared their views on the
akal academy ‘s efforts to make a connection between the generations through these
events. Grandparents were involved in many fun exciting games .Winners were
awarded with token of appreciation.Grandparents whole heartedly participated in the
programme organized by the School like the Thumb Painting, Flexy point etc.
Mementos were awarded to the parents of alumin to put them honour . Indeed the
2024 Grandparents Day was a memorable moment for our Grandparents and our
School.
