On Monday, September 30, 2024, Akal Academy Raipur Peer
Baksh Wala, under the leadership of Principal Madam Sonu
Sharma, celebrated Grandparents Day. Students from nursery
to second grade and their grandparents participated in the
event. The primary objective of this day was for children to
spend time with their grandparents and express their feelings
towards them. The children presented their emotions through
choreography, poems, songs, and speeches, making their
grandparents feel how important they are in their lives.
All the grandparents enthusiastically participated in various
activities such as rolling out seviyan (traditional sweet
noodles), identifying their grandchildren while blindfolded,
solving riddles, musical chairs, inflating and bursting balloons,
and more. Through their participation, they proved that they
are no less than anyone and can win several prizes too.
Following this, Principal Madam Sonu Sharma inspired the
children to respect their elders and seek their blessings. She
also explained the importance of listening to their elders and
spending quality time with them daily. She promised to
continue organizing such programs to help children always
understand and appreciate the love and significance of their
elders.
