Outdoor Art and Craft Activity

The purpose of the Art and Craft Club is to encourage creative expression and to allow students to
discover new crafts and bring together a group of like – minded people.
Art and craft activities encourage students to think outside the box and to explore creativity and
imagination, allowing the students to express themselves in several different ways. Creativity is a
valuable skill that can be applied across subjects and in various aspects of life. Nurturing creativity from
a young age helps students become innovative thinkers.
The Art and craft club helps in providing the students who an opportunity to explore art and craft forms
beyond what is offered in the curriculum.
Students benefit through Art and Craft in so many ways:
* Boosts self – confidence.
* Promotes curiosity and encourages knowledge gathering.
* Improves their social skills, making friends and getting on with other children.
* Helps them to express their emotions.
* Build on problem – solving skills.
* Develops their imagination and creative thinking.
* Develops fine motor skills and builds pre – writing skills.
The students were taught art activities like drawing, colouring, origami activities, collage activity, in
which they showcased their creativity and talent. Children enjoyed making leaf craft, paper lamp, ear
buds flower, balloon painting, button craft, pencil shaved etc.The Art and Craft Club has been a very
encouraging, engaging and entertaining extracurricular activity for our students.
It has helped in the all – round development of children and helped in building their self – esteem and
creativity.
