Report on Parkash Parv of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji
Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Jyoti Jyot Diwas is celebrated on the death anniversary of
Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism . Guru Nanak Dev Ji is believed to have
died on September 22, 1539 in Kartarpur. Kartarpur is considered to be the final
resting place of the founder of Sikhism.
Jyoti Jyot means immersed in eternal light. In Sikhism, the physical death of
gurus and other spiritually liberated people is called Jyoti Jyot. Guru Nanak Dev
ji birth anniversary is celebrated every year on Kartik Purnima. It is also known
as Guru Parv and Prakash Parv.
To celebrate this day our Academy recited Shri Sukhmani Sahib ji Path on 27th
of September 2024. After the path student recited the Shabad and Manmeet
Kaur from grade VIII also explained the meaning of Japji Sahib in very soulful
way. After that Ardaas was done by Manjot Singh.
