Akal Academy Mander Dona Celebrates Sampoorna Diwas of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji
Students and Faculty Come Together to Mark Historic Occasion
Mander Dona, August 29 – Akal Academy Mander Dona celebrated the Sampurnta Diwas of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji with great fervor and devotion on August 29. The day marked the historic occasion of the completion of the guru granth sahib, the holy scripture of the Sikhs.
The celebrations began with the recitation of Nitnem, followed by the additional recitation of Japji Sahib. Students from secondary classes then performed a soulful Shabad Kirtan, titled “Dhur ki bani aayi, tin sagli chint mitayi”, which touch the soul of students and staff.
Harneet Kaur, a student of grade 9th, delivered a speech on the significance of the Sampurnta Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, highlighting its importance in Sikh history and philosophy.
Miss Harpreet Kaur, the divinity and music teacher, gave a spritual speech on the Sampurnta of the Aad Granth, emphasizing its relevance in today’s world.
The special
speech by the honorable principal, Ms. Manjit Kaur Mahal, who addressed the entire school and explained the significance of the Gurbani and its strength Her words inspired the students to delve deeper into the teachings of the Guru Granth Sahib.je
The celebration concluded with an Ardas and the distribution of Kadah Prasad among the students and faculty.
