On December 5th, our school solemnly commemorated the martyrdom of Shri
Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji with a heartfelt function. The event, organized with
devotion and respect, was hosted by Madam Ripujeet Kaur and Kiran.
The program commenced with the students of Grade 8-B melodiously reciting a
shabad. This was followed by an insightful speech by Madam Kiran, who
eloquently highlighted the bravery and sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
Adding to the tribute, Garima from Grade 6-A recited a poignant ballad narrating
the life and teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The students of Grade UKG also
contributed by reciting a soulful shabad.
The teachers then took center stage, reciting the shlok of Novan Mohalla with
reverence, adding depth to the occasion. Surpreet Kaur of Grade 6-A delivered a
beautifully crafted speech in Punjabi, emphasizing the values of courage and
selflessness exemplified by Guru Ji. The Divinity Department further enriched the
event by reciting more shabads, followed by a melodious Shabad by the head of
the school.
The event concluded with the distribution of deg of kadah prashad among the
students, symbolizing the spirit of sharing and unity.
