Eco Club launches tree planting campaign at Akal Academy Theh Kalandar
At Akal Academy Thehkalandar, a branch of Kalgidhar Trust Baru Sahib, today, July 19, 2025, under the leadership of Principal Sahiba Mrs. Gurjit Kaur Sidhu, flowers, fruits and shade trees were planted according to the motto ‘Balihari Kudrat Vasya’. It was organized by the in-charge of the Science Department, Sardar Jassa Singh and Mr. Abhinav Sharma. A total of 121 children from the first class of the academy arrived with different types of trees from their homes and the children dedicated these trees to their parents and took the responsibility of taking care of them. Giving information, the Principal Sahiba said that we should take care of our planet and environment by following the great sayings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji ‘Pawan Guru Pani Pita-Mata Dharti Mahatu’. For which it is very important for the planet to be green. This is possible only if the number of trees is more than humans. The children of the academy are motivated to plant more and more trees and take care of them every year.
