Organization of Awareness Event on 30th July 2025 – International
Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking
Awareness Event against drugs was conducted at Akal Academy Bhadaur on 30 th
July 2025 from 6 th to 12 th classes. The event was aimed at educating the public,
especially the youth, on the harmful effects of drugs and to encourage them to stay
away from substance abuse and dangers of drug abuse and to promote a healthy
and drug-free lifestyle.
Flow of the Event:
- Short Film – “Chup 2”
A short film depicting how youth fall into the trap of drug addiction, risking
the destruction of their lives and potential. - Panel Discussion
Led by Dr. (Col.) Rajinder Singh and other panelists, this discussion will
cover various aspects of drug addiction, including causes, consequences, and
preventive measures. - Documentary Film: Jarnail Singh
A real-life story highlighting the struggles and recovery journey of a young
drug addict, emphasizing the importance of awareness, prevention, and
education. - Pledge Ceremony:
All participants took a collective pledge to commit to a drug-free and
healthy lifestyle.
The Pledge:
I pledge not to use alcohol, tobacco, or any other illegal drugs.
I pledge to be a role model for others by following a drug-free and healthy
lifestyle,
including sports, hobbies, and volunteering.
I pledge to offer my services for the treatment of patients of drug addiction if
their family
members require any help.
It was no doubt a great opportunity for the students to spread awareness
among the public in this way.
