Ber Baba Budha Sahib – Special Assembly

Special assembly was held at Akal Academy Cholang for an enlightening session exploring the life and legacy
of Baba Budha Sahib Ji, a pivotal figure in Sikh history. Born in 1506, Baba Budha Ji became a devoted follower
of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism. He played a crucial role in the early Sikh community, serving as
the first granthi of the Gurdwara at Kartarpur, where Guru Nanak Dev Ji spent his final years.
Baba Budha Ji is celebrated for his profound spiritual insights and unwavering dedication to the Sikh faith. He
was instrumental in the establishment and formalization of Sikh rituals, including the first installation of the
Guru Granth Sahib as the eternal Guru of the Sikhs.
This event delved into Baba Budha Ji’s contributions, his relationship with the Gurus, and his lasting impact on
Sikh traditions. Students and staff members discovered the wisdom and teachings of this revered saint and
how his legacy continues to inspire generations today.
There was great enthusiasm and religious belief among the students and staff members on this auspicious
occasion.
Students recited the nitnem of 5 banis and recited Gurbani shabad kirtan related to Ber Baba Budha Sahib Ji.
Students were enlightened about the history of Ber Baba Budha Sahib and questions related to Sikh history
were asked from the students.
All students and staff members embraced the warmth of the Gurbani.
