The Gurpurab of Shri Guru Ramdas Ji celebrates the
birth of the fourth Guru of Sikhism, who was born in
1534. Revered for his profound teachings on humility,
compassion, and selfless service, Shri Guru Ramdas Ji
played a vital role in shaping the Sikh faith and
community. He is best known for founding the city of
Amritsar and the establishment of the Golden Temple, a
central spiritual hub for Sikhs.
The warmth of this special occasion was marked by a
series of events at Akal Academy Cholang including
prayers, kirtan (sacred hymns), and the sharing of Kada
Parshad, which embodies the spirit of unity and
selflessness. All the students and staff members
honoured the teachings and legacy of Shri Guru Ramdas
Ji, and come together in devotion and community spirit.
