On 10 th of January,2025 Akal Academy Sujanpur celebrated the Parkash Purab of Shri Guru
Gobind Singh Ji with great devotion and fervor . The event served as a platform to instill the
teachings and ideals of the 10th Guru in students and staff alike.
The program commenced with a warm welcome by Surpreet Kaur, of Class 6, who hosted the
event gracefully. The proceedings began with a soulful rendition of Shabad by the students of
Class 11. The students of Class 9 enacted a powerful act titled "Chote Sahibzade", depicting
the unparalleled sacrifice and bravery of Guru Gobind Singh Ji's younger sons. This was
followed by an inspiring poem presented by Mehak and Kashish of Class 6C.
The girls of Class 8A recited Zafarnama, showcasing Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s unwavering faith
and his letter of defiance to the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Students from Classes 5A, 5B, 4A,
3A, 3B, 6A, 6B, and 7B in sequence, recited a series of kavitas.
The event also featured an impactful act/play by the students of Class 11.
The celebration concluded with a soulful shabad, followed by an enlightening speech by the
Principal, who spoke about the life of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and emphasized the
importance of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and its Bani.
