To honour the supreme sacrifice of the great freedom fighter Shaheed Udham Singh, Akal Academy
Raipur Peer Bakhsh Wala organized a commemorative program on 1st August 2025, Friday.
The event began with a short introduction about Shaheed Udham Singh’s life and his valiant act of
patriotism. Students of grades 9th to 12th showcased a powerful Nukkad Natak (street play)
highlighting the martyrdom of Shaheed Udham Singh and his fearless assassination of Michael
O’Dwyer as an act of justice for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
The street play touched the hearts of the audience and stirred a deep sense of patriotism among
students and staff. The performance effectively conveyed the message of bravery, sacrifice, and
justice, leaving everyone deeply moved.
The event concluded with an inspiring address by Principal Ma’am, who encouraged the students to
follow the path of courage and truth shown by our national heroes. She emphasized the importance
of remembering our martyrs and carrying forward their legacy.
