Title –  Mock Parliament organised by the social science departmentA Mock Parliament organised by the social science department from class 6th to 12th with the aim to provide them actual experience of India’s Parliament workings. Students actively participated from all the classes.

During mock Parliament students discussed the real life issues such as agriculture development, growth of farmer’s income taxation, educational reforms, domestic violence etc. Both opposition and ruling parties put forward their arguments logical and in disciplined manner.

After talk about these issues A bill ‘Women Reservation Bill’ was discussed in it. In which there will be 33% reservation for women in lok sabha and state assemblies. Both parties discussed this bill actively and passed it with majority.

To sum up, mock Parliament really provided the real life experience to students. On this occasion Principle Mam Mrs Baljeet Kaur appreciated and motivated the students to participate in such type of activities.
