5th Annual Sports Day of Akal Academy Basarke was held on the 14th of October 2019 during school hours in the school ground. All the four houses’ students were adding colour to the event by tying patka of the colour of their house. The Guest of honour Dr. Jagdeep Singh, International Volley Ball Coach, GNDU, Amritsar inaugurated the event by flying colorful balloons. All the four houses Abhai, Ajai, Atul, and Amul presented their drill and won the heart of the audience as they swayed and drilled on the beats of the drum. The budding sports stars were excited to participate in their respective races. It was a delight to see the excitement with which children challenged themselves to attempt a variety of races such as big fish race, three leg race, lemon spoon race, slow cycle race, sac race, hurdle race, sprint races, high jump, long jump, shot put and many more events. Kho-kho match became an attraction of the audience. The young achievers were awarded medals Gold, Silver and Bronze.
