Guru Nanak Jayanti commemorates the birthday of Guru NanakDev Ji, the first Sikh guru and the founder of Sikhism. It is the most sacred festival of the Sikh community. The festival is celebrated with great religious dedication and devotion across India, mainly in the states of Punjab, Haryana and abroad .
Akal Academy Sheron Bagha celebrated Gurpurab on the virtual platform with great fervour and gaiety . The celebration started with a prayer to memorialize the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, followed by the chanting of the soothing holy ‘Shabads’ in Rag Sarang, Rag Basant and Rag Tukhaari, by the budding singers, making the whole ambience sereneand pious .
Guru Ka Langar was served to the sangat . An Exhibition was also organised by the students and staff. Students presented the Sikh Martial Art ‘ Gattaka ‘ with great enthusiasm .
