The Prakash Gurpurab of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji was celebrated in Akal Academy Ghugg with immense devotion. The celebration began with shabad kirtan ,followed by a religious speech delivered by the students. The students came to know about Guru Ji’s message of equality and humility.
Then their was a student ‘s speech , lightening that he was the first sikh martyr and the fifth of the ten sikh gurus,who compiled writings to create the living Guru, guru Granth Sahib ji.
The celebration concluded with Ardas.This day is not merely a celebration but a remembrance of his love, peace and universal brotherhood and his ultimate martyrdom for freedom of conscience.
