Baisakhi Celibration

On 13th April 2026, Monday, Baisakhi was celebrated with great
enthusiasm and devotion at Akal Academy, Raipur Peer Bakshwala,
Bholath. The entire school campus was beautifully decorated, creating
a festive and spiritual atmosphere.
The program began with the morning assembly. A student presented
the Thought of the Day, highlighting the importance of hard work and
gratitude. This was followed by an informative speech on the
significance of Baisakhi by Mrs. Dilraj Kaur, who explained its
historical and cultural importance, especially in Sikhism.
The celebration continued with soulful shabads, energetic kavishries,
and meaningful poems based on Sikh culture and the festival of
Baisakhi.
In the beginning of the session 20 sehaj paths were started by
students and teachers. On this auspicious occasion, the Bhog of 8
Sehaj Paths was performed with full devotion. In addition, 11 more
Sehaj Paths were initiated for the well-being and prosperity of all.
A Dastar (turban tying) Competition was also organized, in which
students from different classes participated with great enthusiasm.
The competition was held in two groups—Dastar and Dumala.
In the Dastar category,
Ekampreet Singh (Grade 7) secured the first position,
Harmanpreet Singh (Grade 8) secured the second position,
Japmanpreet Singh (Grade 10) secured the third position.
In the Dumala category,

Harjap Singh (Grade 10) secured the first position,
Harmanpreet Singh (Grade 7) secured the second position,
Chetan Gabha (Grade 8) secured the third position.
All the position holders and participants were honoured by
certificates.
Principal ma’am addressed the gathering and spoke about the values
of unity, equality, and service. She encouraged students to follow the
teachings of the Gurus and to respect their cultural heritage.
